Mike Greer Commercial were engaged by the client to design a new childcare centre for 100 children. Of key importance was the relationship between the identity and ethos between the centre, the local community, and most importantly the children.

This project was purpose-built for quality education and care for children aged between three months and 5 years. As a licensed early childhood education and care centre, its design, specifications, and construction met robust regulations applicable to education and care service.

As well as adaptable learning spaces, verandas, outdoor play areas, resource rooms and art preparation spaces, the building incorporated two separate sleep rooms and three change rooms/bathrooms plus an accessible bathroom with a shower. A reception, office meeting room, kitchen, staff break room, teacher non-contact room, laundry, and an additional resource room were separated from the learning spaces by a passageway.
