Selwyn Street Development

We built thirteen apartments on Selwyn Street in Christchurch for Mike Greer Developments.

We used a pre-fabrication system for this development, which is called the "Pod" system. The pre-fabricated pods were built offsite at VIP Frames and Trusses factory undercover in a controlled environment and transported on truckloads to Selwyn Street for installment.

This meant that three to four weeks of work were completed in two nights. After these two nights of lifting pods, we were ready for the roof of the apartments. Take a look at the photos below to see what this method looked like.

Mike Greer Commercial had early contractor engagement to mitigate the design and build aspect which reduces the overall client programme.
